Connect your Shopify store to Landing Creator

You'll create a private app in your Shopify Dev Dashboard and paste its credentials into Landing Creator. It takes about 3 minutes and needs no code.

Before you start: you must be the store owner, or have permission to create apps for the store.

1

Create the app

Go to dev.shopify.com (the Shopify Dev Dashboard) and log in with the same account as your store. Click Create app and name it Landing Creator Integration.

2

Set API scopes

Open the app configuration and add these Admin API access scopes: read_products and write_content. Click Save.

3

Enable the install flow and redirect URL

In the app configuration, turn on Use legacy install flow. Then, in Landing Creator, open Settings → Integrations → Shopify and copy the callback URL shown there (use the Copy button). Paste it into the app's Redirect URLs field and Save. Without this, Shopify rejects the connection.

4

Release the app

Click Release to activate the configuration you just saved. This makes your scopes and settings live.

5

Set distribution

Go to Distribution, click Select distribution method, choose Custom distribution, and enter your own store domain (for example yourstore.myshopify.com). This choice is permanent, which is fine here since the app is only ever used on your own store.

6

Install the app

Use the generated install link, or the Install app button on the Overview page, and install the app on your store.

7

Copy credentials

On the app's Overview page, find the Client ID and Secret. Copy both, you'll paste them into Landing Creator next.

8

Connect in Landing Creator

In Landing Creator, go to Settings → Integrations → Shopify. Paste your store domain, Client ID, and Secret, then click Connect and approve the permission prompt in the Shopify window. Back in Landing Creator, choose which blog to publish into and click Finish connecting.

Troubleshooting.

“Install app” only shows development stores

You haven't set distribution yet. Complete step 5 (Custom distribution) and try again.

I can't find the Dev Dashboard or can't create apps

You need store owner permissions, or permission to create apps for the store. Ask your store owner to either grant access or complete these steps for you.

Connection fails in Landing Creator

Double-check that the store domain matches exactly (including the .myshopify.com suffix) and that the app is installed on your store (step 6).

The Shopify window shows a redirect or invalid URL error

Your callback URL isn't set correctly. In your app, make sure Use legacy install flow is on and the callback URL from Landing Creator is pasted into Redirect URLs exactly, with no trailing space (step 3).
